![]() ![]() If it was not for the cross and the shed blood of Christ we have no way of being free from our sin and no possibility of appearing righteous before God – we would be condemned to an eternity outside of God’s presence. Because of God’s perfect justice and love, sin has to be atoned for – thankfully, because of his overwhelming love for us, God sent his own Son to pay for our sins. We are all corrupted with sin with no possibility of “working” our way free of its hold over us, hence we are all born alienated from God. May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
